Instant Travel Stations

Like floo powder in the Harry Potter universe minus fireplaces and soot, we will be able to travel around the world without having to spend a long time traveling. There will be not only less unfulfilled dream trips and less travel-sick people, but also less heartbroken migrants and less homesick international students and workers. It will be sustainable, affordable, and available for private solo-travelers (less risk of contracting viruses) and public groups alike. There will be many travel stations that people can use, although none will be directly linked to homes to protect people from unintended intrusions, glitches, or misuses and to encourage people to still go outside and meet new people! Main travel stations with the most functionalities will be like community hubs---coffee shops and street performers will gather for the travelers and community members alike. A certain range of space will be allocated to the local shop owners and performers, and others will be sharing cultures from other places, including other countries. There will also be a park nearby (or around the travel station) so the non-travelers can enjoy the facilities along with fresh air as well.

I was thinking about floo powder in the Harry Potter series and the concept of Third Place (Oldenburg). The isolation and confinement people have been experiencing during the current pandemic and fires have inspired me as well.
