HOPEFUL TRANSITION

Mr Pelson and his family were just fed up with this ghastly Coronavirus. This year 2020 went awful for the whole world. His family was bummed out; while Mr Pelson’s son Perro switched on the television, “Uff, there is nothing one can watch on television these days; there is just news about Coronavirus that is making me feel obnoxious!” “Oh my god! Everyone will die”, said Marty in a sinister whisper. “Shut your mouth, say well or be still”, said Perro. Mr Pelson got up and ran into his room, researched something and came out of his room with an endless smile on his face, “Yes! Yes! Yes!” Everyone else was shocked and Mr Pelson’s sound woke up and scared the squishy cat that had been fast asleep. “What happened dad?” said Marty. “I have a great idea, I am thinking, we shall use the time machine that our cousin has made and go to the future”, said Mr Pelson. “Oh! It’s a great idea”, said Mrs Pelson, exhilarated. They all were ready for it. Also, Perro kept reiterating the line ‘ We will be off the hook now’ even in his sleep. Finally the day arrived. The whole family was running amok. They all packed the stuff they had and entered the machine which was way too small for the same to fit in. But they still managed to fit it in there. They hit the start button but they were also not ready for it. The machine started to shake and then vanished into the cosmos. That venture was very scary for them but they reached where they wanted to; now they were in 2060! As they opened the door of the time machine, they were at first dazzled by the serenity and brilliance of the wondrous city. The streets were looking so beautiful. The houses there, were totally different from the ones in 2020. Each house had a helipad, moving walkways and much more cool stuff. But one thing that they liked the most was that all the houses were made up of precious stones and everything there was automatic. Some houses were made up of diamond while some were of emerald. As they walked ahead, they all paused in perplexity. There was no sign of people at that place. The whole place was fully deserted. All of a sudden, something got Perro’s attention and he yelled pointing towards the sky, “Hey, look there!” As everyone’s eyes went upwards, what they saw was just indescribable. Though people were not on roads yet they were flying above on their hover boards. And all eyes were on Mr Pelson and his family because they were the only ones walking on the road. The whole world had become very developed and high-tech. There was no one wearing a mask which meant that the havoc caused by Coronavirus had ended. No one was able to believe the reality of 2060! They all felt so exulted and even Mr Pelson’s cat was running all over the place in joy. There was no sign of Mr Pelson and his family going back to 2020, because no one wanted to deal with that abysmal virus once again. But now Mr Pelson was very keen to know as to whether what exactly must have happened to that virus. So he asked one person who was ‘flying’ nearby and he told all about the virus. He said that Coronavirus had been eradicated from this world by the united efforts of all the scientists and doctors across the world and now each and every country lives with peace and brotherhood. There is amity everywhere. After hearing this, Mr Pelson became so buoyant that he threw a party that night. So that was the end of the awful period that started with the dreadful virus. Now, Mr Pelson and his family lived happily enjoying the new technological world.
