Acknowledging of differences

More than anything, I hope that by the year of 2060 people have found a way to live in society while respecting everyone's differences. More than setting differences aside, learning that they are actually important and should be acknowledged is of major importance for our society to progress towards being able to live in peace. Years of minorities fighting for their rights will have led us to the place where we all want to be.

Inspiration: Nelson Mandela. His story resonates with me because although he was literally outcasted from society for a thing as simple as his skin color, he never let his activism die out. Moreover, he also chose to live a positive life with no resentments, which I think is very inspiring considering everything he has ever gone through. It is a sign of his strength and the world would be a better place if there were more people like him in the world.
